Rejoice

I love to rejoice in life! I find that it makes life so much more enjoyable and true, it is very easy to rejoice in the joyous,  “summer” times of life. But as we all know and struggle with, we are urged, even commanded to rejoice in the Lord through the hard, “winter” times in life! Through the hope of Jesus Christ, it IS possible! There are so many references in the Scriptures dealing with rejoicing it must be important to God! So on this day- July 31, 2008, make a conscience decision to REJOICE! Through whatever muck and mire you are experiencing in the external today, find that hope that comes from internal hope of Christ.

Listen to David, the man after God’s own heart say,

6 “I hate those who pay regard to worthless idols,
but I trust in the LORD.
7 I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love,
because you have seen my affliction;
you have known the distress of my soul,
8 and you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy;
you have set my feet in a broad place.”
